Tino Sehgal, the un-capture-able, most amazing artist. Today, I saw ‘This youiiyou’, his conversation with El Greco’s painting ‘Adoration of the Shepherds’.How can performance reduce a good painting to the energy of a stamp? Tino’s work is so alive, and this one even more as it features babies. Not only that, it is beautiful. I could have stayed there for my whole sojourn in Spain. Alone, in the gallery, with my favourite work.Presence, hands, joy Adoration, indeed.
THE CHARIOT X THE JUDGEMENT.For 2024, the tarot alerts me to the power of having a goal and reaching it steadily, without too much speed in an open vehicle. The road is bumpy, and chariots can be modes of transport for queens and in wars. It also warns me of the need to be fair in the good and the bad, truthful to myself and others in order to allow transformation, transcendence and renewal.What do you want to do in 2024 and how will you get there?
