After years of talking about it and holding a strong desire in my heart, I finally make it to Kaivalyadham to continue my pranayama studies. It was all I hoped for: the practice, the place, the food, the people. So beautifully put together. We got to breathe and to breathe India in Navaratri. Magical. What I did not know to expect (like the rains, unlike any other I have experienced) was kindly supported by @mysoreyogaparis so even that was good. The practice, the cleanses and free rein for ghee and massage oil every day made me feel so good, I can wholeheartedly say the techniques work. I cannot wait to continue in February.
It’s been six years, dear Rosina, and I think I have finally settled into it. I can hear you laugh, and tell me it could have taken longer. I got there, I finally understood that what I feel is nothing but love for you. I almost forgot how stylish you were. Anything you wore looked good, always. It is a matter of attitude, your beautiful radiance shining forth. You taught me so many things and I delight in those teachings, their lasting impact and the pleasure all of them give. The first photo was taken in Paris, where we were studying with Kia. We shared a one bedroom flat with Maureen and Louise, and I call that flat the house of bliss. We cooked, we laughed, each in our rhythm and somehow in harmony. Every night you would jump into bed at a very reasonable hour, put the covers up to your nose and shout to the top of your lungs ‘I love my bed’. I do that every night too, so I can go to sleep with a smile of gratitude.
