I should be on Newcastle with @annepalmershiatsu but the east coast floods prevented us from getting there and forced us into the Kafkian process of applying for a refund. We were wet, tired and dispirited. ‘Let’s go to the charity shop’ said @mr.neil.scott ‘that always cheers us up’.I found a pristine copy of Winthrop Sargeant’s word-for-word translation Bhagavad Gita which thanks to @originalwisdom__ ‘s exceptional Sanskrit classes and @jamesboagyoga ‘s stimulating philosophy sessions, I am finally beginning to understand a bit more fully. As ever, this book came to me when I most needed it, reminding me that I cannot change what happens but I can change how I feel about it. Cheered up, I went to @Kat’s wonderful yoga class this morning and I spent the morning in the loungers, sauna and steam room of the Arlington Baths, a little self-care consolation for not seeing Anne. In the photo, I show you the book, the biggest Gita translation I now own, together with the smallest one. In between, I have five more and I use them all in my study. Do yourself a favour and read this amazing book. And then let’s chat about it, which is how it comes to life.
♀️ Last week of my Mysore classes as next week, the last for this term, I will be teaching pranayama and led primary. Join me to experience this beautiful practice at your own rhythm, with your own sequence, with the pace of your own breath, supported by my touch.📸 throwback to last September, when I assisted @mysoreyogaparis at Fredrik and Ulrica’s @oooyogamat studio in Borås. Booking for Kia’s workshop in Glasgow will open soon. Keep an eye out for this!
